Józef Kiszka, an architect, absolutorium 1976 at the Brno University of Technology, postgraduate education in 1987-8 at the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno UT. Since 1976 UHAMO (the Department of Chief Architect In Ostrava); since 1977 Stavoprojekt In Ostrava; since 1991 to present day – a private architectural studio „Kiszka – architekt”; since 2006 simultaneously the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Ostrava. Piotr Obracaj, an architect, a professor at the Opole University of Technology, head of the Department of Construction and Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Opole UT. Studies at the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology (1975), a doctorate at the Faculty of Architecture at the Gdansk University of Technology (1983), habilitation at the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology (2008). A member of SARP, the Chamber of Construction Engineers, the Camber of Architects and a member of the management board of the Polish Center of International Organization of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT), a member of the International Committees of Architects and Scenographers OISTAT. Piotr Obracaj was awarded the Bronze Medal of Merit for Polish Culture (2001) and the Medal of the National Education Commission (2011). Specialization in the field of public buildings, including numerous scenographic and architectural realizations. Co-author of the special development plan of the center of Bytom (1977-79) and the center of Misrata (Libya, 1986). Founder of the Architecture and Urban Planning field of studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Opole University of Technology. Coordinator of EU domestic and international projects.
Piotr Opałka – an architect (diploma of the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice in 2000, doctorate in 2012) and a construction engineer (the WSI diploma in Opole in 1995). An adjunct professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Opole University of Technology. Since 1994, Piotr Opałka has been running a private design studio. A member of OPOIA, OOIIB I SARP. Vice-chairman of the OPOIA Disciplinary Court in Opole. A Founding Member and the Audit Committee Chairman of Polish Green Building Council. A participant of international projects, including “RESELTAM” and “RESELTAM II”. An illustrator of several books and a drawing artist in about 30 magazines. Awarded the title of “primus inter pares” (granted by the Governor of Opole, 1995), a winner of the “Zabytek Zadbany” contest (2004), awarded the “Złote Pióro” (“Renowacje i Zabytki”, 2012) and the I-grade Medal of Honor of the Chamber of Polish Architects (2012).
Monika Piętak – Knosała
Monika Piętak-Knosała, an administration worker at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (since 2003). Since 2010, a coordinator for promotion and BO contacts within the scope of the project “Launch of a new field of studies of Architecture and Urban Planning, as an extension of the Opole University of Technology range of offers”. In 2006-2007 postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Management and Production Engineering, Technical University of Opole in human resource management. A graduate of the Opole University of Technology at the Faculty of Management in the field of business management. In 2006-2007, postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Management and Production Engineering in the field of human resources management.
Pavel Ptáček is an adjunct professor at the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Palacký University of Olomouc. His researches are devoted to geography of population, urbanization processes, cross-border cooperation and to regional development innovation.
Marcin Spyra – Project Manager
Marcin Spyra, an architect, an adjunct professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Opole University of Technology, a coordinator / manager of the project. Studies at the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology and at the Faculty of Architecture at the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg (2000). Doctorial dissertation titled “Scientific-technological parks. Evolution and context of the modern urban environment” was defended with distinction at the Silesian University of Technology in 2007 and awarded by the Minister of Infrastructure in 2008. Since 2011, the Minister of Science and Higher Education scholarship holder. A participant of several international research projects, including the Restructuring Cultural Landscapes project (RECULA 2003-2006). An author and co-author of numerous projects of public buildings. In addition, the author of articles and artistic elaborations in urban area transformations. A member of SIDIR, SOOIPP (Polish Business and Innovation Centers Association), the Silesian Regional Chamber of Architects and the European Land-use Institute.
Jana Stehlíková, an engineer and an architect, doctoral candidate at the Technical University of Ostrava. She was born in 1985 in Rýmařov in the Bruntál District. After graduating from secondary school of construction industry with specialization in building reconstruction in Opava, she began her studies at the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the TU of Ostrava. Her doctoral studies are mainly devoted to the relations between the cultural and historical profile of Silesia in the historical context and perspectives of its development. Currently, she is actively engaged in teaching in the Department of architectural design, runs a private architectural business and closely cooperates with the A2 Architekci company in Olomouc, where she currently resides.
